Advanced Diver

If you are a certified Open Water Diver and want to improve your diving skills, make each dive an adventure and become Advanced Open Water Diver.
The course consists of 5 dives that will allow you to expand your experience: deep diving, underwater photography, peak buoyancy control, wreck diving, and much more. They will allow you to become an autonomous diver at 30 meters.

With these techniques, diving becomes much more than just watching. In addition, the Advanced Open Water Diver course brings you one step closer to the Master Scuba Diver certification, the highest level of recreational, non professional diving.

Your dive instructor will take you to adventure dives: two mandatory dives, deep and underwater orientation, which will build up your confidence and reinforce your basic technique. To complete the course, you can choose three optional dives from a total of 15 adventure dive options: night dives, wreck dives, multilevel , naturalism, etc...

In order to take the Advanced Open Water Diver course, you have to:

  • Be PADI Open Water Diver Certified (or hold any other equivalent certification by a different dive organization),
  • Be over 15 years old (12 for the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification),
  • Have at least 5 dives in open waters.

For the Adventure dives, you can choose from: altitude diving, the AWARE fish identification program, boat diving, deep diving, underwater scooter, drift diving, dry suit diving, multilevel with computer diving, peak buoyancy control, search and recovery of objects, underwater naturalism, underwater orientation, underwater photography, underwater video and wreck diving.

You will also need:

  • The Adventures in Diving Crew-Pak kit,
  • The Adventures in Diving course manual,
  • A dive log book.

What can I do after my Advanced Open Water course?

  • The dives of your PADI Advanced Open Water Course count as the first dive of the PADI Specialty Diver course, corresponding to the 1st dive of the specialty course.
  • You can also take the Rescue Diver course to learn surface and underwater rescue techniques, one of the most gratifying courses of the PADI program.
